Remedica was awarded with a Golden Environment Protection Award 2019 for a second consecutive year

We are delighted to inform you that Remedica was honoured with the “Golden Environment Protection Award” 2019 for a second consecutive year within the framework of the Pancyprian Environmental Awards for Organisations and Businesses. These awards are organised by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CY.CERE) with the support of other partners.

The Golden Environment Protection Award is granted to companies or organisations that have taken an active role in protecting the environment and have managed to integrate environmental policies into their business policies, establishing practices and actions that protect the environment. In addition, they reduce the consumption of natural resources by adopting the most appropriate operations, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable future. They also undertake environmental activities that ensure their premises are environmentally friendly and support local environmental bodies and environmentally-friendly actions as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

Congratulations to Remedica since this distinction rewards the collective effort of the company and belongs to all those who work in this direction. Environmental protection is a commitment for Remedica. Since its establishment, the company had adopted environmental practices through awareness-raising and ecological initiatives and actions. The company focuses mainly on the management of solid, liquid and gaseous waste and sewage, the minimisation of carbon dioxide emissions, energy production from renewable sources, the conservation of energy, the implementation and promotion of recycling practices, as well as environmental education. It is committed to continuing to promote environmental practices in all aspects of its activities in order to protect the community in which it operates, achieving sustainable development. The award ceremony will take place at the Presidential Palace and the awards will be given by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Anastasiades.
