Remedica provides help to Kazakhstan against COVID-19

In the context of its efforts to ensure the quality of life through good health and to address the coronavirus pandemic, Remedica’s commitment in providing humanitarian help to countries in need became even stronger. The new normality that the pandemic created has resulted in the adoption of actions to overcome the new situation. Remedica, in the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 since the beginning, undertook private initiatives aiming to help Cyprus and other countries tackle the pandemic.

On the 18th of October, Remedica delivered humanitarian aid to Almaty the capital of Kazakhstan so to help them in the fight against the coronavirus. The supply of more than 9,000 units of pharmaceutical products and 50,000 protective masks to Almaty, was of paramount importance for the country. This act of solidarity was carried out in the context of a joint effort to prevent the further spread of the virus and at the same time, it demonstrates the moral duty of Remedica in international efforts to combat the coronavirus.

In honour to the Chief Executive Officer of the Remedica Group of Companies, Dr Michael Neoptolemou, for his initiative and Remedica’s help, a small event was held in Nicosia by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel and to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Satybaldy Burshakov and his delegation. In the honour of this contribution was also given to him the national traditional costume of the Kazakhs, the kamisada or beshmet.
