Financial contribution of Remedica for the purchase of outdoor musical instruments for the Sensory Garden of the Special School “Apostolos Loukas” in Limassol.

Remedica, in the context of its corporate social responsibility, once again supports children with special needs, through the offer of sponsorship that will contribute to the creation of a Sensory Garden at the Special School “Apostolos Loukas”.

Specifically, Remedica’s sponsorship will be used to purchase outdoor musical instruments for the Sensory Garden created at the school with the aim of actively engaging students in growing herbs, awakening their senses, activating and relaxing them through walking in the space and the provision of treatments such as music therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy in this outdoor space.

The Special School “Apostolos Loukas” has been operating since 1966 with the aim of providing alternative forms of education and treatments to children with special needs in the city and province of Limassol. It has been housed in the current school building since 1980, which has many equipment and building deficiencies in relation to the growing needs. Today it accommodates 81 students, aged 5-21 years.
